The purpose of the STAHR Program is to recruit, retain, and graduate disadvantaged students pursuing health professions degrees at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Our program supports students from underrepresented identities and rural communities, those identifying as first-generation, and those that are from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. By doing so, we strive to diversify the health workforce in underserved communities.
